New search engine from former google employees, cuil, pronounced, “cool”.  Test it for yourself.  It’s different and still has kinks apparently, so if it does become a success, it may be a while.   www.cuil.com

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara, Royal Blue

27 06 2008

I checked out Sephora and discovered Christian Dior’s Diorshow in Azure Blue.  However, this is fairly expensive ($24), so I wanted to opt for something less expensive and with the same intensity in color.  I just purchased the the Great Lash mascara by Maybelline in Royal Blue, and ok so Great Lash is considered the number one mascara in America and I don’t completely get it.  It seems like some kind of unexplained craze because I’ve used several less popular mascaras that have similar results, and others that produce different results but looks just as amazing.  Anyway, Great Lash in Royal Blue has an electric blue look from the container to the applicator and on the lashes, but only in bright light.  Under normal lighting the blue looks very dark, almost black once applied.  Still it’s a great mascara for a damn affordable price, and it’s a pretty good substitute so I’m keeping it.  The results:

Cell Shopping: BlackBerry Curve 8310, LG Vu, iPhone 3G

22 06 2008

I’m looking to purchase a new phone for multitasking purposes, but I also want something sleek and sexy.  So for the budget I’m working with, I’m researching the LG Vu and the BlackBerry Curve 8310.  I can’t decide.  And, of course, I’m looking into the new iPhone, reviews of which are always off the charts with positive feedback.  Anyhow, it’s on the bottom of the list until I feel like I’m not conforming if I start liking it.

A few helpful vids I found…

An article on TechRadar briefly describes the differences and advantages between the BlackBerry Bold and iPhone 3G, concluding that these two devices are not as much a threat to each other than they are to Windows Mobile and Palm.

Versace’s India

17 06 2008

Earlier this month Donatella Versace presented his Resort 2009 collection, which caught my eye because of the pants in the line.  He married boyish elegance with Indian charm in creating them.  This is an ingenious combination because the traditional  South(east) Asian trousers, called Churidar, are made for both men and women.  I’m loving how they’re so similar to the everyday-hip skinny jeans.  I never caught this similarity or thought to wear my Churidar pyjamas with my everyday clothes.  Best to start slow and subtle because this is damn edgy.
